How Do I Get Pictures Small Enough To Fit In The Photo Frame Charms That Hang On The Tapestree Family Tree?
Our proprietary Web Based Photo Sizing Tool will assist you in quickly and easily resizing your digital photos and save them as a single jpeg which can be printed at home or sent to a photo processor. (How Does It Work)
Which Browser Should I Use To Open The Photo Sizing Tool?
Apple Users – Because of the propritary nature of Apple you should use Safari.
Android Users – We strongly suggest using Google Chrome. However, any Apple photos saved as heic must be converted to jpeg format to use in Chrome.
Why don’t my photos upload?
The reason you see a red bar appear when trying to upload a photo is because the photo is not in a supported format.
Photos taken with an Apple device are saved in HEIC format by default. HEIC photos are not compatible with our resizing tool being run on any browser other than Safari. Attempting to upload an HEIC photo in a browser other than Safari may result in an error and the system will crash.
To avoid any issues you should do the following –
1. Use Safari as your browser when opening the resizing tool on an Apple devise
or
2. Convert all HEIC photos to jpeg photos before uploading them.
Why Are My Pictures Too Big When I Print The Downloaded 4×6 ?
This happens when you are printing your downloaded 4×6 at home on 8.5 x 11 paper. Make sure your printer is set to print 4×6 paper or photos. You may need to trick your printer into printing a 4×6 by setting the paper size to 4 x 6 even if you have 8.5×11 paper.
Rest assured, as long as you did not change the default size of the downloaded file, a 4×6 print from a photo processor will be the correct size for the charms.
A quick way to tell if you have downloaded a 4×6 is to count the pictures in a full top row. If you have 9 it’s a 4×6.
Can I Get Additional Photo Frame Charms
Absolutely. We believe additions are blessings.
Because we have a number of different frame options we ask that you reach out to us and include a picture of your Tapestree (so we know exactly which frames you need), your address, and how many frames you need. We will email you an invoice and send the frames to you. The cost of the frames is $.50 each plus $5.75 in postage.
Can I Have You Resize My Pictures
Absolutely. While our resizing tool is very easy to use we realize some customers would prefer for us to do their photos. We offer a paid service where we will resize photos you email us and send you back a 4×6 photo which you cut out and slip in the frames. (Photo Sizing Service)
